The devastating floods in Punjab that killed more than 50 people and caused massive damage to crops, removal of protesting farmers from Shambhu and Khanauri border points and alleged attack on a colonel by police personnel were the major events of the year 2025 in the state.
This year many Indians, especially the youth of Punjab, were deported from America. These youths were sent back in handcuffs and shackles by US military planes as part of the crackdown against illegal immigrants by the administration led by US President Donald Trump and these planes landed at Amritsar airport.
