Pune: The entire country is keeping an eye on the Baramati Lok Sabha elections. For the first time in Baramati, there will be a contest between the daughter and daughter-in-law of the Pawar family. However, now Rohit Pawar’s mother Sunanda Pawar has also applied for candidature. This has raised many eyebrows. Laxman Khabia, close to Sharad Pawar, has applied for Sunanda Rajendra Pawar at the Election Returning Officer. It is reported that Sunanda Pawar has taken the nomination form from Mahavikas Aghadi.
Candidates contesting elections have to do a lot of technical preparation to fill the form. Often, candidates who are popular are left out from the field, as many times their applications are rejected due to technical reasons. That’s why some politicians make vigorous preparations for this. Even dummy applications are filled keeping all possibilities in mind. Ajit Pawar will be the dummy candidate for wife Sunetra Pawar from Baramati Lok Sabha constituency and Sunanda Rajendra Pawar will be the dummy candidate for Supriya Sule.
Clash has started in Baramati Lok Sabha constituency. The battle continues in the campaign. But, now these tricks are being tried in the form filling process also. Sunetra Pawar will fill the application form on 18th and Ajit Pawar will also fill the application form along with her. Seeing this political move, Rohit Pawar’s mother Sunanda Pawar immediately took this application. She is going to be Supriya Sule’s dummy candidate. Dummy candidates are an option to avoid last-minute irregularities in the election process. But, what if Ajit Pawar continues to be the candidate?
Suppose Sunetra Pawar’s application is rejected due to some technical reason, then Ajit Pawar can also be nominated as a part-time candidate. Same is the case with Supriya Sule. Suppose Supriya Sule’s application is rejected then Sunanda Pawar will be the next candidate. Filling dummy applications is nothing new. Many interesting events happen from the time of filling the application till the last minute of the last date for withdrawal of application.
