Vijayapura (Karnataka). Incidents related to borewells have come to light many times in many parts of the country. This matter has also reached the court. After the Municipal Corporation or local body comes across such a case, claims are often made to take precautions in future and make the borewell more safe. Amidst all these claims, once again the incident of an innocent child falling into a borewell has come to light. A rescue operation is being conducted to save the 24-month-old innocent child.
According to the information, a two-year-old child fell into a borewell on Wednesday evening in Lachayan village of Indi taluka of Vijayapura district of Karnataka. This information has been given by the police. Police said that the child fell into a 16 feet deep borewell and a rescue operation is underway to bring him out safely. It is being told that the child fell into the borewell when he was playing outside the house.

Police further said that the child fell into a borewell while playing near his house. This information came to light when someone heard her crying and immediately informed the family. A senior police officer said, “The operation to save the child was started at around 6:30 in the evening. Police, revenue officials, Taluk Panchayat members and officials of the fire and emergency services department are present at the spot. Every possible effort is being made to save the child.”

The police officer said that at present the child’s voice is not heard, but some movement has been seen inside the borewell. He said that we have dropped pipes to supply him oxygen, so that the innocent child can continue to get oxygen in the deep borewell. On the other hand, the child’s family members are in a bad condition and crying. Everyone is just praying that the child comes out safely.
