The train accident took place on Friday evening in Balasore district of Odisha. The derailment took place when the Coromandel Express train and the Bengaluru-Howrah Express train collided with a goods train. So far 238 people have died in the train accident. More than 900 passengers have been injured in this accident. There is an atmosphere of chaos from the spot to the hospital. There is an influx of patients in the hospitals, and a pile of dead bodies in the postmortem house. People are searching for their loved ones. Many want to take the injured back home, while some want to take the dead bodies of their near and dear ones. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reaching Odisha. He will visit the train accident site in Balasore and the hospital in Cuttack where the injured are being treated. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has also announced to reach here. Earlier, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also reached the hospital to meet the injured. These VIP movements have spoiled the arrangements in the hospital. People are getting worried.
After all, how did 3 trains collide, is signal fault responsible?
Standing outside Odisha’s Balasore Medical College for Sanatan Sahu to take his brother’s body back home. The waiting and the pain was increasing for them. It was said that his brother’s body would be given in 15 minutes and then suddenly it was known that the body would be found by evening. On being asked, it was told that the Chief Minister is about to come. It is a VIP movement, it will take time.
The dead body was to be found in 15 minutes but…
When Sanatak Sahu insisted on taking Bhai’s body, he was told that no vehicle would be available. Take away the dead body. Instead of waiting till evening, Sanatan Sahu decided to make his own arrangements and take the dead body away. He hired a private car and took his brother’s body. This situation was when the Chief Minister was reaching the hospital. Apart from this, the treatment of many patients was stopped. The minor injured were taken out of the hospital.
VIP movement increases pain
Where people in Odisha are troubled and in pain, this VIP movement is increasing their pain further. A person named Anand present there said that if the CM is about to come then this is the condition, now if the PM comes then don’t know what will happen. He said that at least some patients were being given treatment while lying on stretchers. He was thrown out on the information of CM’s arrival. Those who were sitting or lying on the ground with bandages were also thrown out and hid behind the hospital so that the CM would feel that the arrangements are good. People expressed their displeasure about this.
VIP movement should be avoided at such places
Be it Odisha incident or any other incident, politics is bound to happen. Allegations start pouring in. There is a demand for resignation from the CM to the ministers of the department. Politics is fine but playing politics in the name of death is not good. VIPs also have compulsion to go during such incidents because if they do not go then there are allegations that they are not sensitive, did not go to meet the injured and victim’s families, but my point of view is that they should avoid going. During the VIP movement, all the officers, police, doctors get busy in gossiping and in such a situation, the human beings are forgotten. Especially the condition of hospitals is bad. If VIP movement is necessary then one should stop and go. So that the patients do not have trouble.
