The accused Pawan Kumar, who hails from Jharkhand (currently residing in Rohini, Delhi) loves a lavish lifestyle and has two girlfriends – one in Delhi and the other at his native place.
Sharing the information, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sagar Singh Kalsi said that on March 17, a complaint was received from Sushil Agarwal that he told his family driver Pawan Kumar to leave an amount of Rs 20 lakh at his nephew’s office in Netaji Subhash Place. was sent for.
On the way, the said money was robbed from the car near Hindu Rao Hospital, while Pawan Kumar was changing the tires of the BMW. But when the driver was questioned, it appeared that he had some complicity in the incident.
Accordingly, based on the statement of the complainant, the police registered an FIR under section 408 (criminal breach of trust by clerk or servant) of the Indian Penal Code at Civil Lines Police Station.
The DCP said that during interrogation of the suspect, it was found that he was changing the sequence of events repeatedly stating the incident.
“He also showed some scars on his left arm and neck. On examination, they were found to be affected by size, depth and angle of inclination,” Kalsi said.
The police then reconstructed the entire crime scene and questioned the suspect for a long time.
The senior officer said, “After continuous interrogation, Pawan confessed to the conspiracy to steal his boss’s money. Accordingly, he was arrested in the case.”
The DCP further said that the accused also used his boss’s car to move around with his girlfriend. “He needed more money to meet his needs and later committed the crime,” the officer said.
Rs 20 lakh in cash, which was looted on the behest of the accused, was recovered.
