With the increasing craze of sunroofs in cars, life threatening is emerging as a hindrance to road safety. Nowadays, we can see many people even small children coming out of the sunroof while driving in the car. Such actions may seem adventurous or fun for a while, but they can be dangerous to do.
To avoid such dangers, traffic policemen in Kolkata’s Lalbazar area have been ordered to launch a campaign against those who exit the sunroof while the car is moving. Let us tell you, in the past, there have been many such instances in front of the police where people are risking their lives by stepping out of sunroofs in busy areas of the city.
Such movements are recorded on CCTV installed nearby, and the video provides evidence for the policemen to take necessary legal action. In such cases, the traffic police of Kolkata is all set to impose a fine of Rs 1,000 on violators under section 184 (f) of the Motor Vehicles Act.

In this sequence, two criminals have already been fined for such dangerous driving around the Park Street-Park Circus flyover zone by the East Guard. Kolkata’s traffic police said the campaign has been launched to make people aware of the harmful consequences of such daring stunts.
Instead of catching criminals red handed, traffic policemen are resorting to video proofs recorded from CCTV and then taking necessary action. In recent times, the trend of opting out of the sunroof has suddenly increased.

On the other hand, considering the pleasant weather due to winter season and holidays, such cases of sunroof run out are becoming more frequent. However, in order to prevent negligence and increase awareness towards road and public safety, the traffic police of Kolkata is compelled to take legal action in such cases.
