Mahasamund. Classes will start from March 1 in the new building for high school in Gram Panchayat Lohardih at a cost of lakhs. Collector Nilesh Kumar Kshirsagar instructed the officer of PWD department to conduct classes.
It is worth noting that the building has been ready since last five months. But, classes have not been conducted so far in the said newly constructed high school building. Due to this, the children of high school are being taught in two shifts in the middle school building. Due to which the children are facing problems.
Regarding the above problems, on Friday, the villagers, under the leadership of councilor Nikhilkant Sahu, submitted a signed application to the collector Mahasamund and demanded to start classes in the newly constructed high school building soon.
Councilor Sahu told the collector that a new building has been constructed by the government to run a high school in the village panchayat, Lohardih, which is ready. But, till now the high school is not being operated in the said newly constructed building.
Due to this, the children of villages like village Lohardih, Amapali, Parsapani, Banjari, Ghonghibahra Kodar etc., who come to study here, are facing difficulties. In the absence of space, high and middle school classes have to be conducted in two shifts in the middle school premises.
Informing Collector Nilesh Kumar Kshirsagar about all the above problems, he requested to conduct classes in the newly constructed school building at the earliest.
On this, the Collector instructed the PWD Department officer to conduct classes in the school from March 1. During this, Deputy Sarpanch Horilal Sahu and rural people were present along with Councilor Sahu.
