Now you too can easily roam around the border of the country. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has launched the Passenger Portal of Border Roads Organization (BRO). Through this, you can easily book e-tickets to visit BRO built projects located in remote parts of the country. At present, only the Atal Tunnel in Rohtang, Himachal Pradesh has been connected to this portal. Further, BRO projects of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh will also be linked to this portal.
Passengers will get full facilities: The BRO has also made complete arrangements to provide all the facilities to the passengers along with the portal. BRO will build more than 75 BRO cafes around these projects. The purpose of making these cafes is to provide convenience to the travelers, promote tourism to remote tourist places and strengthen the local economy.
On this occasion, the Defense Minister of the country, Rajnath Singh said that the tourism industry is the largest employer in the world. The government has taken several steps to increase tourism in the country, including programs like Incredible India, Swadesh Darshan, Dekho Apna Desh and Udaan.
How to book tickets: For this, first you have to go to marvels.bro.gov.in. Here you will have to login again by entering the mobile number. Then you have to click on My Ticket Booking. After clicking on it, you have to click on New Booking. After that a new page will open in front of you. Here you have to enter the date, time and age of the journey. Next you have to fill your name, date of birth and gender. Then a new page will open. Your ticket will be booked by paying the fixed amount here. The ticket price for an adult has been kept at Rs 100 by the BRO, Rs 50 for 12-18 years and zero for below 12 years.
Major Contribution of BRO: Road Border Organization was established in the year 1960 for the construction of roads etc. in the border areas of the country. BRO has so far constructed 60 thousand km of roads, 850 major bridges, 19 airstrips and 4 tunnels in the border areas.
