The Supreme Court-appointed committee was not in favor of complete repeal of the three agricultural laws (now repealed). The report submitted in the Supreme Court has been made public, on which Rakesh Tikait, spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union has targeted committee member Anil Ghanwat. The report was released by Anil Ghanvat, one of the three members of the Supreme Court-appointed committee.
Taking a dig at Anil Ghanwat, Rakesh Tikait said that Ghanvat had made public the report submitted to the Supreme Court in support of three agricultural laws and proved that he was a puppet of the central government. Once again, the BKU leader said that if the Center intends to bring these bills again under the guise of this, then it will not take long for more big farmers’ agitations to arise in the country.
In another tweet, Rakesh Tikait said, “BKU is constantly demanding that MSP should have a legal guarantee or else the farmer has been looting like this and will continue to loot.” He said that the government is also reneging on its promise on MSP and if it does not obey, then the farmer will be forced to take to the streets again.

Ghanvat had said that he had written to the Supreme Court regarding the release of the committee’s report, but after receiving no response, he was issuing it himself. The farmers’ agitation against the three agricultural laws lasted for more than a year, after which these laws were repealed in November last year.
