While on the one hand the Modi government is facing the students’ agitation regarding the Agneepath scheme, on the other hand the opposition is also surrounding the government on this issue. This is the reason that the government has made many changes since the announcement of this scheme, yet the students are not ready to accept it. Now Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Chaudhary has targeted the Modi government.
Jayant Chaudhary said that the Modi government is spending 20 thousand crores on the new Parliament building, but is not keeping the interest of the students in mind. Chowdhary said- “Rs 20 crore we are spending on Parliament House. No one has asked, ask all these youths who are on the road, do you want a new Parliament building or do you want a permanent job?
Talking to Aaj Tak, he said- “I did not think that I would make the army an ITI. Army is not for skill center, its purpose is much bigger. People go to the army with a feeling and they will destroy that feeling and bring contract system.”
Jayant Chaudhary said that there is no business relationship with the Army. As a responsibility, the youth of the country are recruited in the army. The RLD leader said that the government has snatched this opportunity from the youth forever and ever. BJP had come to the government by making the issue of One Rank One Pension, but now there is talk of No Rank No Pension.
Jayant Chaudhary said that the government should withdraw this scheme. The government should not play with the future of the students. He said that if the government wants these protests to be resolved, then take out permanent recruitment.
Let us tell you that the government has brought a plan to recruit in the army for four years. Students are protesting in many states of the country regarding this scheme.
