Wholesale consumers of diesel have suffered a major setback. According to sources, according to the information received, diesel has become costlier by Rs 25 per liter for bulk customers. This decision has been taken after a jump of about 40% in the prices of crude oil in the international markets. There has been no change in the retail prices of diesel sold through petrol pumps. There has been a 20% jump in the sales of petrol pumps in the month of March itself.
The price of diesel in Mumbai has gone up to ₹122.05, while the retail price is ₹94.14, after the increase in price for bulk customers. While diesel costs around Rs 115 for wholesale customers in Delhi, the retail price is around Rs 87. Public sector oil companies did not hike prices after November 4, 2021. There is also an allegation against him that he had taken such a decision in view of the elections of 5 states, so that BJP would benefit.
Explain that bus fleet owners and wholesale consumers like malls have also bought fuel from petrol pumps. Usually they buy oil directly from oil companies. Due to this, the loss of oil retailing companies is also big and companies like Naira Energy, Jio BP and SAIL have suffered the most.
Let us tell you that in 2008, Reliance had to close all its petrol pumps, because it was unable to match its prices with the public sector oil companies. Due to which Reliance’s petrol pump was continuously incurring losses. Private oil companies have expressed similar apprehensions this time as well. But now the public sector oil companies have also increased the prices, after which private oil companies have also breathed a sigh of relief.
Let us inform that the elections of five states in the country have been completed 10 days ago and for the last several months, there has been no increase in oil prices even for retail customers. Although discussions go on in the country that the elections are over, the government will increase the price of oil.
