Prime Minister announced scrap policy, know how it is beneficial for you

Citizens who give in scrap will get exemption from registration fee on new vehicle, road tax will not be levied

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced a scrapping policy for 15-year-old vehicles at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Joining the video-conferencing from New Delhi, PM Modi made a significant announcement in the scrapping policy that anyone who gives their old vehicle in scrap will get a certificate and no registration fee will be charged on the purchase of a new vehicle. Not only this, no road tax will also be levied on newly purchased vehicles. Apart from CM Vijay Rupani, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari was also present on this matter. Nitin Gadkari announced that the country’s first scrap plant would start at Alang in Bhavnagar. This new policy of the Center will start from October 2021.

Virtually involved in the program, Prime Minister Modi said that this program before the 75th Independence Day is the biggest step to achieve the big goals of self-reliant India. This policy will give a new identity to the mobility of India’s auto sector. This policy will bring a positive result across the country, in which entrepreneurs have a big role. More than 10 thousand crores will be invested from this policy. This policy is very important for the country and also for the environment. Many changes are going to come through this policy in the coming time.

On this occasion, Modi said that recycling has been going on in every house of Gujarat since the time of grandmother. When the clothes worn in the house became old, instead of throwing them away, the grandmother used to make mattresses for sleeping in them. In this way recycling has been going on in Gujarat for years. Modi said that in the last several years, many works have been done in the energy sector. Along with development, it is also important to protect the environment. Common people will also get a lot of benefits from this policy. Due to this policy, the impact of pollution on health will be reduced. In the coming 25 years, due to this policy, pollution will be reduced significantly.

Apart from Alang, a park for old scrap vehicles will also be built in Kutch. Old vehicles increase pollution and the problem of road safety also persists. Let us tell you that the scrap policy has already been implemented in countries like Japan and Belgium. After implementing this policy, many countries of Asia will send their scrap to Gujarat. With the new policy, employment will also increase in the country and the auto mobile sector will get more momentum.
