Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, has raised his voice for a farmer of Lalitpur to the central government. Actually this farmer has made a fuelless Mars Turbine. Raising the issue of not getting respect for this invention of the farmer, Tikait said that the government can take the initiative to save the earth by giving justice to the person who invented such an invention.
The name of this farmer of Lalitpur is Mangal Singh. Rakesh Tikait, in a tweet for the farmer on his Twitter account, said, “Farmer Mangal Singh of Lalitpur made the country proud by giving fuelless Mars Turbine but the same inventor was pushing for justice at the doorstep of the government instead of respect. Today, on Earth Day, the central government can take an initiative to save the earth by giving justice to such an invention.
Let us inform that the farmer leader Rakesh Tikait often raises his voice for the farmers. They staged a sit-in for more than 11 months in protest against the three agricultural laws of the government. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that all three laws were being abolished, only then did the farmers end their protest. A large number of farmers had gathered at the UP Gate and stayed here for a long period of 11 months. During this, Tikait continued to lead the sit-in demonstration.
How Earth Day started
Earth Day was started on 22 April to save all the animals and plants on the earth and to increase awareness about the environment. The tradition, started in 1970, is celebrated in 192 countries globally.
In 1960, forests were being cut in the name of development, due to which a lot of damage was being done to the environment. To stop this harvesting and to make people aware of the environment, the US Senator announced a convention in Washington in 1969. After this ‘World Earth Day’ started being celebrated all over the world from 1970.
