Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah has given a big statement on the ongoing Kannada-English language dispute. He said that every Indian should respect the linguistic diversity of the country. English will never become the national language of India. In a tweet made by Siddaramaiah, it was said that “English has never been and will never be the national language of India. It is the duty of every citizen of the country to respect the linguistic diversity of India. Every language has a golden history of which people are proud. I feel proud to be a Kannada.”
Significantly, earlier there was a debate on social media between Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan and Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeepa over the language, in which Ajay Devgan had declared English as the national language of the country.
Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy also attacked: Karnataka JD(S) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy also tweeted on this issue, he said that there is nothing wrong in actor Kicha Sudeepa’s saying that English is not the national language. Ajay Devgan is hyper in nature, it also shows his ridiculous behavior.
With this, he said in the next tweet that Ajay Devgan should realize that Kannada film industry is beating English cinema world. It is because of the encouragement of Kannada people that today the English film industry has developed so much. Along with this, Ajay Devgan should also not forget that his film ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ ran for a full year in Bangalore.
Significantly, on Wednesday, in response to a statement by Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeepa, Ajay Devgan wrote on Twitter that “Sudeep my brother, if according to you English is not our national language, then why do you release your mother tongue films by dubbing them in English. We do? English was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language. Jan Gan Man.”
