Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises Minister Narayan Rane has given this information on the basis of the data of a survey in the Parliament.
The Minister of Enterprises also told that due to loss in business or closure of business, many people have committed suicide. According to the data, 11,716 self-employed people have committed suicide in 2020.
Government terminated employment for the loss of friends

11,716 entrepreneurs committed suicide due to Corona
Congress asked in Parliament whether the government has given any help to the businesses closed due to Corona. Or the government did some help to the families of people who committed suicide after loss in business. In response, Narayan Rane said on the basis of National Crime Records Bureau data that 9,052 self-employed people had committed suicide in the year 2019. Whereas in the year 2020 due to Corona, this number increased to 11,716.

He said that the bureau has not categorized the statistics of suicides of people associated with such industries. However, under self-reliant India, many steps have been taken to help such people. The government has given subordinate loans worth Rs 20,000 crore to MSMEs.
