The administration has issued a big decree regarding Navratri in Ghaziabad, UP. The administration has ordered the closure of meat shops in the district. A warning is being given to run bulldozers against those who violate this law. These orders have been issued in five zones of the district.
A video in this regard is also going viral. In which an officer is seen warning the shopkeepers. The officer seen in the video is being told that he is a food safety officer. In the video, the officers are warning the shopkeepers, saying – “If anyone is seen here, then after getting a bulldozer and breaking it from there, then say… if you want this then this will happen….”
In the video, the officers are also asked to cancel the license of an open shop. The officer said- Madam, note down her name, cancel her license…. Shall we lose our jobs because of you?”
Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has also issued an order in this regard. It has been said in the order that from April 2 to April 10, there is Navratri. Therefore, there should be proper arrangement of cleanliness and lighting in all the temples from the city and at the same time all the meat shops in the area should be kept closed.
Ghaziabad Mayor Asha Sharma said that orders have been sent to all concerned municipal departments. He said- “The order is issued every year and the ban is only during Navratri”.
At the same time, earlier Loni MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar had made several appeals to close the meat shops during the festivals. On Thursday, MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar wrote a letter to the District Magistrate saying that many restaurants in his area are selling meat in the open. In the letter, he had requested the authorities to ensure action against such shops to prevent any possible spread of the disease.
