In today’s time, where communalism dominates the society, a Muslim family from East Champaran in Bihar has set a unique example by donating more than 2.5 crore land for the tallest Ram temple being built here. It is worth mentioning that Patna Mahavir Mandir Trust Committee is building the world’s tallest Ram temple in Kaithwalia of East Champaran district of Bihar. For this the Muslim family has donated the land.
Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, who belonged to the Zamindar family of the village, and his family donated their 23 katthas of land on Wednesday last week in the name of Virat Ramayana Temple at Kesaria Registration Office in East Champaran district. According to the government rate, the cost of this land is Rs 2.5 crore. Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan and Mahavir Mandir Secretary Acharya Kishore Kunal gave this information jointly on Monday at Mahavir Mandir. He handed over the land papers to Kishore Kunal in front of the media.
Talking to reporters, Acharya Kishore Kunal, head of Patna-based ‘Mahavir Mandir Trust’, which built ‘Virat Ramayana Temple’, said that Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, who donated the land, is a businessman from East Champaran. He has a business in Guwahati. Kishor Kunal said, “In the past also Khan and his family have been open to the idea of helping for the temple project. Khan also gave land on the main road at a subsidized rate. Taking inspiration from him, other people of the village also started giving land. So far 100 acres of land has been acquired for the Virat Ramayana temple.
Kishor said Khan and his family are a great example of social harmony. He said that without the help of Muslims it would have been difficult to realize this dream project. A huge Ramayana temple will be built on a total of 125 acres, which is one of the tallest and largest temples in the world. The structural design of the Virat Ramayana temple will be such that it will be sustainable for more than 250 years. For the construction of the temple, the services of technical experts and skilled craftsmen engaged in the construction of the new Parliament House are being taken.
Ishtiaq, who gave the land for the construction of the temple, the construction of the temple will give a unique identity to the entire area. When we came to know that the work of the temple was stopping because of our land, we decided to give the land free of cost. Regarding Hindu Muslim politics, he said that this is politics. We are not in politics, so we have been given land. People living in politics keep doing Hindu-Muslim. We people do not. Hindu-Muslim runs less in the Kesaria area. Please tell that the height of this Virat Ramayana temple will be 270 feet, length 1080 feet and width 540 feet. This temple is located 120 km from Patna and 60 km from Vaishali.
