On Monday, the Jaipur International Airport was taken on lease by Gautam Adani’s Adani Group for the next 50 years. Director of the airport JS Balhara on Monday handed over the charge of the airport to Vishnu Jaa, Chief Airport Officer of Adani Jaipur International Limited. Balhara said that the work, management and development of Jaipur airport will now be done by Adani Group on PPP model.
It is noteworthy that the Adani Group already has 6 airports, and with this, the seventh airport has come under their control. The Mumbai airport was taken over by Adani Group in the month of July itself. For the past several years, Adani Group has been trying to strengthen its hold in the aviation sector. Let us tell you that in order to give the operation of the airport to the private sector, the government had called for the bidding in the year 2019 itself.
Under which Adani Airport Holdings Limited, a Peta company of Adani Group, has succeeded in securing operations at Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mangalore, Guwahati out Thiruvananthapuram airports. Apart from this, he also bought Mumbai International Airport Limited from GVK Group, which operates the Mumbai airport. Now Adani Airport Holdings Limited has become the largest aeroport company in the country.
