One more life has been lost during rescue in a ropeway accident in Deoghar, Jharkhand on Sunday night. A total of four people have lost their lives in the accident that occurred due to faulty ropeway on the famous Trikuti mountain. While 44 people have been rescued. The operation, which lasted for 45 hours, was carried out by the team of Air Force and NDRF.
A woman fell from an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter during a rescue operation on Tuesday. After the Deoghar accident, the state government had sought the help of the Indian Air Force to rescue the stranded people. Air Force helicopter and NDRF team carried out the rescue operation. According to the latest information, the rescue operation is now over and 44 people have been rescued out of 48 people trapped after the cable car collision. While 4 people have died in the accident.
During the rescue operation on Tuesday, a woman collapsed when she was being pulled from a cable car. The woman died after falling. This is the second incident of a person falling during this rescue operation. During the rescue operation on Monday too, a shakt had fallen while on board the helicopter. Due to which he had died.
Jharkhand High Court ordered an inquiryDeoghar Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said that out of 48 people trapped in the air after the collision of ropeway trolleys, 18 were rescued on Monday. Also, 30 people trapped in trolleys were rescued on Tuesday. In this risky rescue operation, two Mi-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force were engaged in the rescue work. 12 people who were injured during the rescue operation are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Many of the stranded tourists were left without food and water for several hours as rescue teams could not reach their cable cars. On the other hand, the Jharkhand High Court, taking suo motu cognizance of the Deoghar ropeway incident, has ordered an inquiry into the matter. The Jharkhand High Court will hear the matter on April 26. Earlier, the state has been asked to file a detailed inquiry report through an affidavit.
CM ordered inquiryLet us tell you that on Monday this incident happened at around 5.30 pm, when a trolley collided with another trolley during the ropeway journey. After which the trolley collided with a rock and a wire broke, due to which the trolley stopped. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had on Tuesday announced a high-level inquiry into the incident.
