Mumbai: Maharashtra (Maharashtra Corona Updates) On Friday, 318 new patients infected with the corona virus were confirmed and one patient died. The Health Department said that the cases of COVID in the state have increased to 78,70,627 and the death toll has reached 1,43,750.
54 and 47 new cases have been found in Mumbai and Pune respectively and no infected has died in both the cities. Of the eight administrative regions (each region has several districts), there are 139 in Pune region, 84 in Mumbai region, 39 in Nashik region, 20 in Akola region, 12 in Aurangabad region, 14 in Latur region, six in Nagpur region and Kolhapur region. Four cases have been found in the area. One person has lost his life due to COVID in Akola area. The infection rate in Maharashtra has come down to 1.82 percent.

According to the department, since last evening, the number of people who have become infection free after recovering from the infection of 355 more patients has gone up to 77,19,949. The number of patients undergoing treatment for infection in Maharashtra has come down to 2925. At present 18,633 people are in home isolation and 566 people are in institutional quarantine.
