Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new Executive Lounge at Varanasi Railway Station. With the inauguration by the Prime Minister, the lounge has been opened for general rail passengers which has been developed by IRCTC. Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been developed keeping in mind the foreign tourists. IRCTC has fixed a fee for this, by paying which passengers can avail this facility.
World-class facilities are being provided at Varanasi Railway Station, the gateway to the country’s famous pilgrim city, which is visited by lakhs of people every year. Northern Railway is improving these facilities from time to time. In this sequence, a new and state-of-the-art Executive Lounge has been made available at Varanasi Railway Station. It has been developed by the country’s leading hospitality and tourism company IRCTC and will be managed by IRCTC. Its objective is to make the waiting time of passengers before departure and post arrival time of passengers staying there for any reason pleasant and comfortable. The design of this facility is based on the Indian system of earth, sky, air, fire and water.
IRCTC passengers will also have to pay an entry fee of Rs 85/- for one hour and Rs 60/- per hour after an hour for this. This will include a host of services like comfortable seating for passengers, WIFI internet facility, retail sale of books and magazines, complimentary tea, coffee and refreshing drinks.
In this lounge visitors can enjoy music, WiFi internet connection, TV, rail information display, hot and cold drinks, variety of food, luggage rack etc. There will also be laundry and changing facilities, a fully functional business center with shoe-shiners, newspapers and magazines, computers, printers, photostat and fax facilities, and a travel desk for ticket booking, hotels and cabs.
