New Delhi. Two big scores have been seen in the Indian Premier League in the last one week. The two biggest scores in the history of the tournament have been made. Such a bat attack on bowlers is rarely seen. A similar match was seen on Wednesday 3 April. Kolkata Knight Riders scored 272 runs against Delhi Capitals and registered a big win of 106 runs. Even though Delhi lost the match, captain Rishabh Pant attacked a bowler which made his further journey difficult.
Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and chose to bat first in the 16th match of IPL against Delhi Capitals. Sunil Narine’s explosive batting got the support of debutant Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Kolkata had scored 150 runs against Delhi in just 11 overs. Sunil Narine scored 85 runs with the help of 7 fours and as many sixes in 39 balls. After this, Andre Russell and Rinku Singh took the score to 272 runs with their stormy innings.
Rishabh Pant spoiled the bowler’s line
While chasing the huge target of 273 runs from Kolkata, Delhi Capitals had a very bad start. Prithvi Shaw, David Warner and Mitchell Marsh failed to score runs. Captain Rishabh Pant came at one end and batted strongly. He scored 55 runs on 25 balls. During this, all the 6 balls of Venkatesh Iyer’s one over crossed the boundary. Pant, who came to bowl the 12th over, hit a four on the first ball, while the next two balls were sent for sixes and by hitting consecutive fours on the last four balls, he scored a total of 28 runs in the over.
Team India’s cut card
