Dietician Priyanka Jaiswal of Diet to Nourish told Local 18 that whatever type of gram you consume, it always benefits the body. If we talk about sprouted gram, then consuming it keeps digestion healthy. It contains soluble fiber, which does not cause constipation and gas problems. This fiber is very effective in reducing cholesterol. Apart from this, it has good quantity of potassium, which helps in controlling high BP. Besides this, immunity also increases. By eating sprouted gram, the body gets all types of nutrients.
Benefits of roasting food
The dietitian further told Local 18 that most of the people like to eat roasted gram, because roasted gram is very good in taste. If you have cold or any other cough problem, you can eat roasted gram. Roasted gram is more beneficial for diabetes and thyroid patients. You can consume roasted gram even if you are overweight. But people who are thin should avoid gram.

Regarding this, Priyanka Jaiswal said that some people like to eat boiled gram. But here, more than the choice, it is important to keep in mind what type of gram is needed by the body. If boiled gram is roasted in pure ghee and eaten with lemon, the immunity of the body increases. But diabetes and thyroid are not controlled. Nor is Vitamin B complex and protein available. Boiled gram is considered best for people who work sitting on a chair all day in the office.
