Former external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha said that Modi should utilize this moment. Occupying Ukraine is wrong. He also said that war is not the solution to any problem.
Sinha said since Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has sought India’s support, the move would be relevant. Speaking to reporters, Sinha expressed apprehension that if the war continues, it will also affect petroleum products, agricultural production, fertilizers and chemicals.
On the issue of Indian students stranded there, the former External Affairs Minister said that India should have brought back students from Ukraine long ago.
