Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan does not even have money to run the household expenses and he is taking lakhs of rupees every month from his political colleagues. Retired judge Wajihuddin Ahmed, a former member of Imran Khan’s party PTI, has disclosed this. After this revelation of Wajihuddin, the political atmosphere in Pakistan has heated up. Jahangir Khan Tarin, a close aide of Imran Khan, is accused of giving money. Tarin denies this, but Wajihuddin sticks to his claim.
On Thursday, Wajihuddin retaliated against Tarin’s threat to file a defamation suit, saying that if anyone wants to file a defamation suit, he should do so because the court’s doors were open. Wajihuddin made the remarks at the MQM’s office in Karachi, where he had visited her for an unclear reason. Wajihuddin had earlier claimed that Tareen pays Rs 50 lakh per month to cover the expenses of Imran Khan’s house.
However, Wajihuddin has not given any evidence in support of his statement. He said, ‘It is completely wrong to believe that Prime Minister Imran Khan is financially honest. His condition is such that he is not able to afford his house for a long time. Tarin refuted Wajiuddin’s statement saying that he did not pay a single penny to run Imran Khan’s house.
Jahangir Tarin is a controversial businessman and owner of several sugar mills. Wajihuddin said businessman Tarin had no choice but to refute his statement. He said that these expenses are not recorded anywhere and hence it is easy to refute them. A former Supreme Court judge said that no action has been taken against Tarin in the sugar scam.
“Despite the current state of my relationship with Imran Khan, truth to be told,” Tarin wrote in a tweet. I tried my best to help PTI in making Naya Pakistan but didn’t pay a single penny for the expenses of Imran Khan’s house. Let us tell you that Wajihuddin had resigned from PTI in 2016 due to not having good relations with Imran Khan.
