Prime Minister Khan, who is on a two-day visit to Russia, began his programs on Thursday by laying a wreath at the ‘Monument of Unknown Soldiers’ in Moscow. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has ended his two-day visit to Moscow, hours after Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine.
Earlier, during the visit to Russia, the US reaction came that it is the responsibility of every responsible country to object to the Russian decisions taken on Ukraine. In such a situation, America has informed Pakistan about the situation in Ukraine.
Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine on Thursday. Ignoring international condemnation and sanctions for his campaign, Putin warned other countries that any attempt to interfere with Russian action would have “results they have never seen.”
Big hopes for Pakistan tour
According to top Pakistani officials, this visit will give Pakistan an opportunity to move forward with Russia in the energy sector and regional connectivity. At the same time, Russia wants to be seen in an important role after the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan. Pakistan wants Russia to start work on the gas pipeline project in Pakistan (1,100 km long from Punjab province to Kasur) after the agreement in 2015.
