New Delhi. The meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the Lok Sabha elections continued till late Saturday night. CEC members including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and party president JP Nadda attended the meeting, in which the names of candidates from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha and Rajasthan were also discussed. Sources said that in this meeting which lasted for about 3 hours, the party high command has decided to cancel the tickets of many big names and give a chance to new faces in their place.
Tickets cut for these high profile faces
According to sources, the big names whose tickets the BJP Central Election Committee has decided to cancel include high profile faces like Ghaziabad MP and former Army Chief General VK Singh, Varun Gandhi from Pilibhit and Rita Bahuguna from Prayagraj seat. Apart from these, tickets of Virendra Singh Mast from Ballia, Rajveer Diler from Hathras, Ramcharan Bohra from Jaipur, Nihal Chand from Ganganagar seat and Sanghamitra Maurya from Bandayu can be deducted.

Tickets for these people are confirmed
Sources said that BJP has replaced them with Atul Garg from Ghaziabad, Jitin Prasad from Pilibhit, Anoop Balmiki from Hathras, Raghav Lakhanpal from Saharanpur, Satish Gautam from Aligarh, Pooja Kapil Mishra from Jaipur City seat, Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur, Sarvesh Kumar from Moradabad. Decided to give it to. Apart from this, Dharmendra Pradhan can get ticket from Sambalpur seat of Odisha, Sambit Patra from Puri and Aparajita Sarangi from Bhubaneswar.
Let us tell you that BJP Central Election Committee has met twice before and till now has declared the names of candidates for 291 Lok Sabha seats.
