Angered by the death of Patna City residents Shiv Malakar and Prerna Devi, who died due to a collision with an unruly car on JP Ganga Path Way in Pirbahor police station area of the capital Patna, the family members and local people of the deceased created a ruckus in the Chowk police station area of Patna City today. . As soon as both the bodies reached Patna City after the post-mortem in PMCH, people got angry and they took to the streets and started creating ruckus.
Alleging that Saurabh Jhunjhunwala, son of Janata Hotel owner Subhash Jhunjhunwala, resident of Chowk police station area, was hit by the car, angry people attacked the Janata Hotel. During this time, angry people also tried to vandalize the Janata Hotel. As soon as the information about the road jam was received, the police from various police stations reached the spot and after a lot of effort, pacified the angry local people. Later both the bodies were sent to the crematorium for cremation.
It is said that late last night, Prerna Devi, a resident of Sudarshan Path in Chowk police station area, was going to PMCH on a motorcycle with her neighbor Shiv Malakar to see her husband SN Mishra after getting injured in an accident. Meanwhile, an unruly car coming from behind hit the bike hard on JP Ganga Path of Pirbahore police station area, due to which the bike riders Prerna Devi and Shiv Malakar died on the spot.
City DSP 2 Dr. Gaurav Kumar, who was present on the spot, confirmed the incident and assured that legal action will be taken based on the statement of the family members of the deceased. At present the police has started investigating the entire matter.
