After giving great relief on GST in the festive season, now the Modi government has made another big announcement for poor families. In fact, the central government will distribute 25 lakh new free LPG connections under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana’ during Navratri. With this, the total number of Ujjwala beneficiaries in the country will increase to 10.6 crore. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information.
He informed that under the Ujjwala scheme, the government will spend Rs 2,050 on each connection, which will include a free LPG cylinder, gas stove, regulator and other related equipment. Conditions related to Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana
Poor families, adult women of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes who do not have LPG connections in their homes will be eligible to get free LPG connections under Ujjwala 2.0.
For registration, women should have Aadhaar card, ration card, address proof, passport size photo and bank account.

Fill the online application form through the official website (https://pmuy.gov.in/e- kyc.html) for the Ujjwala 2.0 scheme. Choose the name of the oil company, for example Indane/Bharatgas/HP Gas. Choose the type of connection, such as Ujjwala 2.0 new connection. Select the name of the state, district and distributor. Enter mobile number, captcha and OTP. After choosing the category, fill family details, personal details, address and fill bank details, choose the type of cylinder, choose rural or urban and choose by choosing manifesto.
After the application, when the reference number is generated, take it to the gas agency.
Let us tell you that currently more than 10.33 crore Ujjwala families are refilling their cylinder for only Rs 553 from the Modi government’s subsidy of Rs 300. This price is less than LPG producing countries around the world.
