In this special 9-day train journey, passengers will be taken to many major religious and spiritual places across the country. This itinerary includes holy cities like Gaya, Bodhgaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj. The journey will commence from Tirunelveli on September 9, 2026 and will conclude on September 17, 2026. The train will leave from Tirunelveli on the first day. Passengers can board the train from stations like Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore and Gudur. On the third day, the train will reach Gaya, where accommodation arrangements will be made for the passengers. After lunch, there will be a visit to the famous Mahabodhi Temple of Bodh Gaya. On the second day, after visiting Vishnupad Temple, the tour will proceed to Varanasi.
In Varanasi, pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple, Kashi Vishalakshi Temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple. The divine experience of the world famous Ganga Aarti in the evening will be the highlight of this journey. After this, the yatra will reach Ayodhya, where it will be visited Ram Janmabhoomi and other major religious places. The train will leave for Prayagraj from Ayodhya. **Fare and Facilities**
There are three categories of packages available for tourists. Sleeper class (economy) fare has been fixed at ₹16,700 per person. Whereas, the fee for 3AC class has been fixed at ₹26,100 per person and the fee for 2AC class has been fixed at ₹34,100 per person. Separate concessional rates will apply for children. This package includes train travel, accommodation, food, local transport and sightseeing facilities. According to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), package prices under the ‘Bharat Gaurav Train’ scheme have been reduced by about 33 percent.
