But despite this, many people are still spending huge amount by getting caught in the affair of agents and brokers. Regarding this, EPFO has warned its crores of members that there is no need to seek the help of any third party agent, cyber café or Fintech company.
All services of EPFO completely free
EPFO has clearly stated that whether you want to claim PF, to withdraw money from the account, update KYC or file a complaint, all this can be done through free, safe and straight EPFO portal or UMANG app.
Brokers and agents do the same thing by using your own data and in return they charge thick money. This not only causes financial loss, but your Aadhaar, bank details and account information can also go in the wrong hands.
EPFO’s new features
Auto Settlement: Advance claims up to Rs 1 lakh (disease, marriage, education, home) are now automatically settled without any hassle.
KYC update: No longer required employer’s approval, Aadhaar will be immediately updated with authentication.
Online Complaint: EPFIGMS and CPGRAMS can get a solution by filing a complaint for free on the portal.
Rapist and transparency: In FY 2024-25, EPFO automatically dealt 2.34 crore claims, and 98% of the complaints were settled in the scheduled time.
