The Government of India is going to launch a new mobile app for Aadhaar card holders. This app is being developed by UIDAI. With its launch, users will be able to use a smartphone directly for Aadhaar -related services. According to reports, this app may be launched by the end of 2025. After its launch, you will not have to visit the base centers repeatedly for your base related work.
What is e-Aadhaar app?
E-Aadhaar app is a new government app to update Aadhaar details (name, address etc.) through smartphones. Its purpose is to provide digital solutions to the base holders. So that people’s dependence on base centers can be reduced.
Features: AI integration for safe and uninterrupted services and using face ID.
Target: Simplifying Aadhaar updates, reducing paperwork, reducing the risk of identity fraud and accelerating the process.
From November 2025: To visit Aadhaar centers, only biometric certification (fingerprint and iris scan) will be required.
How to update?
Update Process: Log in the e-Aadhaar app to update information like name, address and date of birth.
Auto Data Fatch: The app will get verified information from government sources (PAN, Passport, Driving License, Ration Card, MNREGA, etc.).
Government Assistance: Aadhaar Good Governance Portal aims to simplify the authentication process.
Effect: App and portal will jointly promote ease and inclusion in the base system.
