Social media further increases this anxiety, as there are constant talks of living ‘fresh’. Various types of videos can be seen on social media. Somewhere influential people are seen applying deodorants on their body, and somewhere people are seen complaining about ‘smelly’ travelers in buses and trains. But experts say that sweating is completely normal. This does not mean that cleanliness is poor. It is a natural process of the body. “Sweating is absolutely common and necessary,” says Michel Spear Professor of Anthology at Bristol University, Britain. Often people sweat under heat, exercise or stress. This sweating helps to keep the body temperature balanced.

We talked to experts for the answers to the common questions related to sweat and easy ways to stay refreshed throughout the day. When the body temperature rises, sweating comes out. It contains water and salt. It dries the sweat and soaks the heat and cools the body. But the thing to keep in mind is that the smell does not come directly from sweat. Professor Spear says that our body has 20 to 40 million sweat glands. These produce two types of sweat – one waterlog, which keeps the body cool, and the other is fatty. Fatty sweat is usually near the sides and thighs. When bacteria break it, it smells smelling.

Sweating is good for the body, but everyone wants to feel clean and confident. Experts say that one should not try to stop sweating, but should learn to control it, so that everyday life can be easier.

Can you stay refreshed throughout the day?

Bathing with soap and water is the easiest way to avoid sweat and smell. But the big question is, how many times should you take a bath? Some people recommend bathing daily, while some believe that bathing three times a week is enough. Professor Spear says that it is necessary to wash the sides, upper thighs and legs thoroughly. He says, “The water goes throughout the body while bathing, but people often forget to wash their feet. The feet should also be cleaned well.” Our clothes also affect sweat and odor.

Fabrics like cotton and linen relax by removing sweat from the body. But synthetic clothes absorb sweat, which can increase heat and discomfort. Deodorants and antipers also help. The deodorant contains alcohol, which makes the skin slightly acidic. It reduces the development of bacteria and hides bad odor. Antiperspirant contains aluminum salts, which block the sweat glands. This reduces sweating. Experts recommend that it is better to apply antiparspirant at night and wash it in the morning. The sweat glands are less active at night, so aluminum is easily affected. It gradually accumulates and its effect appears after some time.

Can antiperspirant harm?

Antiperspirant has long been considered the cause of diseases like breast cancer and Alzheimer’s. But Dr. Nora Jaffer says, “Evidence so far shows that they are safe. No good study proves that antipers are causing cancer.” She states that aluminum salts have only short -term effects on the skin. Those who take it back go with the skin. Experts say that misuse of these products can cause skin problems.

Professor Spear says, “If it is written on a product that it will affect 72 hours or 48 hours, and no one takes a bath thinking that the antiperspirant will continue to work, it can cause skin obstruction and irritation.” When sweating and dead skin cells accumulate, the sweat glands can be closed and irritation. Dermatologists recommend using aluminum -containing products only when the armpits are completely dry. When the skin is wet, aluminum chloride can form an acid with water, which can cause irritation.

Do natural deodorants work?

These days the use of natural deodorants is increasing. These are especially designed for those who want to avoid aluminum or artificial aroma. These deodorants usually contain natural anti-bacterial elements or vegetable oils, which reduce the smell. In addition, things like rice or tapioca starch absorb sweat. Dr. Jaffer explains, “They are light because they do not close the sweat glands, just affect the smell. But being ‘natural’ does not mean that they will not cause any problems. Essential oil or baking soda things like essential oil or baking soda can produce rashes on sensitive skin.” Their effect on every person can vary. It depends on which bacteria are on your skin and which ingredients are the deodorants made of? If you sweat a lot, these deodorants will not be as effective. But if you want to avoid aluminum, these can be a good option.

Now people are starting to think about which deodorant or anti -anti -anti -body should be taken and on which parts of the body should be applied? New deodorants are being sold in Britain and America which claim that they can be applied on every part of the body, even genitals. These products claim to remain fresh for a long time even after bathing, and some also claim to remain odor-free for 72 hours.

But doctors say that there is absolutely no need to apply a deodorant on the whole body, especially genitals. Dr. Jaffer warns, “Vaginal and waist are very sensitive areas. Applying deodorant there can cause irritation, allergies and natural imbalances.” “It is enough to wash light soap or just water,” they suggest.

When is sweating is a matter of concern?

Some people suffer from a problem called hyperhydrosis. In this, instead of keeping the body cool, there is more sweating. According to the International Hyperhydrosis Society, in this case, some sweat glands become hyperactive and sweating too much. Doctors say that sometimes it can also be a symptom of any other disease-such as changes in hormones, thyroid problems, infections or metabolic disorders. It is treated with sharp antiperspirants which contain more aluminum salts. They reduce sweat. In some cases, botox injections are also given and in very severe cases, sweat glands can be extracted from surgery. Professor Spear says, “If you are sweating too much, do not be ashamed. Consult a doctor.”
