Shruti Raj Lakshmi has illuminated the name of Jharkhand along with the family. Shruti left her job with an annual package of Rs 31.5 lakh to prepare for UPSC and cleared the Civil Services Examination 2021 in her second attempt and secured 25th rank. While she could not clear the prelims exam in the first attempt.

Shruti’s family is originally from Amba village located in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Shruti did her 10th from Loyola School Jamshedpur and 12th from Delhi’s DPS R. from Puram; After this, he decided to take up a job in the year 2019 after obtaining a degree in Computer Science from IIT BHU.
It was the dream of the parents that the daughter grew up to become an IAS officer.
In a conversation with AnyTV.com, Shruti told that it was the dream of the parents that I grow up to become an IAS officer. Shruti says that the wish of the parents has been fulfilled. Shruti used to study for seven to eight hours a day. Anthropology was the subject in the main exam. His reasoning behind keeping the subject is that one has to prepare for the subject for seven to eight months. Therefore, the subject in which interest and material is available to study should be kept there. Shruti’s father Dr. Anand Kumar, who lives in Panchvati Enclave, Kanke Road, Ranchi, is an advocate, while mother Preeti Rani is a CDPO. From the very beginning it was the desire of the parents that the daughter should become an IAS. When he resigned from the job, he got the full support of his family members in the preparation. Younger sister Vaishnavi is also studying in IIT Kanpur.
Preparations started by leaving an annual package of Rs 31.5 lakh
When Shruti decided to quit her job and prepare for UPSC exam; Then she was working in Gold Man Bank Company, Bangalore on an annual package of Rs 31.5 lakhs. Shruti told during the conversation that, “The first attempt was given to check myself and understand the pattern.” Apart from this, she told that she prepared for UPSC Prelims and Mains exam without any coaching and during the preparation she also stayed away from social media. However, she said that she used to use internet media to prepare for the exam.

Reached Delhi to test myself
Shruti had prepared for the prelims exam by staying at her home in Ranchi. However, she came to Delhi to prepare for the Mains exam and joined a test series to test her preparation. She tells that she did not expect this time also, but after the release of the result, she was completely shocked and her happiness knew no bounds.
Tips for IAS aspirant
Shruti has given the most important tips regarding her preparation. Shruti told that, “Students who feel that they do not have control over themselves, then they should keep a distance from the mobile while preparing for the exam. It is not that work cannot be done without mobile. Also, he said that after studying a topic, one should revise it from time to time. Do not run after too many books and keep on assessing your preparation through test series from time to time.
