Madhya Pradesh Tourism, Culture and Religious Trust and Endowment Minister Usha Thakur said that the tourism department would increase necessary facilities to promote water sports in the state. Ms. Thakur Sh. Addressing the 32nd National Canoe Sprint, 15th Para Canoe, 1st Standup Paddling National Competition 2021-22 at Bhopal’s Chota Talab in memory of Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, he said that events like water sports would increase tourism in the area. This will intensify economic activities, which will become the basis for the creation of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh.
He encouraged the players to participate in the competition with full hard work and dedication and give their best. The players born out of the churning of this competition will bring laurels to their state and country at the international level. He honored the winning players in K-4 Junior 1000 meter race by wearing medals. Madhya Pradesh team got first, Manipur second and Kerala state team got third position.
