Facilities available during tenure

The official residence of the President of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan has around 340 rooms and a floor area of 2,00,000 square feet and is armed with a custom-built black Mercedes Benz S600 (W221) Pullman Guard for official visits as security. A long limousine equipped is also provided.
Facilities available to the President after retirement
The President of India is entitled to a number of allowances after retirement. After retirement, he gets Rs 1.5 lakh as pension every month. Along with this, the President’s wife gets secretarial assistance of Rs 30,000 per month. He is also given a furnished rent free bungalow (Type VIII) with pension.
Let us tell you, under the President Elements Act 1951, the former President is given a fully furnished bungalow. Whose rent is borne by the government. Along with this two free landlines and one mobile phone are given. In which national roaming facility is available. Apart from all this, former Presidents are given free travel facility by the government in trains and planes for life.
