BJP leader and IT cell chief Amit Malviya has taken a dig at the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu while sharing information about the repatriation of Indian fishermen to Gulf countries on social media. Along with this, it has been accused of not taking any concrete steps for the return of the fishermen.
Amit Malviya wrote on social site There is immense relief and happiness throughout Tamil Nadu due to his safe return.”
He said, “People are deeply appreciative of the prompt and sympathetic efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring back our fisherman brothers safely from the conflict zone. At the same time, questions are being raised on the huge difference in response. On one hand, there is decisive action and concern being shown by the Central Government, on the other hand, there is silence and inaction on the part of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leadership.”
Questioning the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Malviya wrote, “In the last six weeks of this conflict, did Chief Minister MK Stalin formally press for his immediate repatriation? Did DMK MPs raise these concerns strongly in Parliament?” These are the questions that many people in Tamil Nadu are asking. Perhaps this is not surprising, since it is the same DMK that remained a mute spectator during the Katchatheevu accord brokered by the Congress in 1974, which had a long-term impact on the fishermen community.”
