Jaipur. On the occasion of 33rd Foundation Day of Jawahar Kala Kendra, a grand event of various artistic activities will be organized from 8th to 10th April. Anuradha Gogia, Joint Secretary of the Department of Art and Culture and Additional Director General of Jawahar Kala Kendra, said that the presentations of child artists will be the center of attraction on the first day of the three-day grand festival on Wednesday, April 8.
Gogia said that the performances of child folk artists will be the center of attraction on the first day of the three-day festival. He said that various presentations of Dandi Gair, Shekhawati Chang, traditional Manglik songs and traditional dances will be given in the Rangayan Sabhakar of Jawahar Kala Kendra from 6 pm on Wednesday by child folk artists from different areas who are getting education under the Guru Shishya tradition. Taal Vadya Kachari will be organized on 9th April and on 10th April there will be film screening and presentations of musical instruments, Ghoomar dance, Bhavai dance and Deru dance.
The percussion instrument Kachari will be presented by Muzaffar Rahman and group at Jawahar Kala Kendra on April 9 from 7:30 pm in Rangayan Auditorium. On April 10, there will be a film screening by the Children’s Film Society of India at 10 am in the Rangayan Auditorium and from 6:30 pm onwards, musical instruments, Ghoomar dance, Bhavai dance and Deru dance will be presented by various artist groups at the Jawahar Kala Kendra.
He told that all the dignitaries and common people have been invited to this event and entry will be free.
