New Delhi, April 29 (IANS). India’s leading airline company Indigo has announced to restart all its flight services to Qatar’s capital Doha from 1 May 2026. These flights were temporarily stopped due to geopolitical tensions and closure of airspace in West Asia. Now after the situation becomes normal, the airline has decided to start operations again.
In a note, the company said that IndiGo will now start its regular flights to Doha from seven major cities of India—Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kannur, Kochi and Mumbai. The airline will operate more than 60 flights every week, providing passengers with easy and affordable travel facilities like never before.
Doha is an important transit hub between India and other countries of the world. With the resumption of Indigo services, passengers will get better connectivity to international markets. Passengers coming to India from Qatar will also have the ease of reaching many cities in the country and other international destinations through IndiGo’s large network.
The airline has said that all flights will be operated as per the prevailing airspace conditions and guidelines of the concerned authorities. IndiGo has reiterated that it gives top priority to the safety of passengers, crew and aircraft.
Passengers can easily book their tickets through IndiGo’s official website, mobile app or through authorized travel agents. The airline says it is committed to providing a better experience to passengers with affordable fares and on-time flights.
It is noteworthy that at present IndiGo is one of the most favorite airlines of India and is among the fastest growing airlines of the world. With a fleet of over 400 aircraft, it operates over 2,200 flights daily connecting over 95 domestic and 40 international destinations.
IndiGo has also been named the ‘Best Airline in India and South Asia in 2025’ by Skytrax, while aviation analytics firm Cirium has named it among the most punctual airlines in Asia-Pacific.
