Pali. Cabinet Minister of Animal Husbandry, Cow Husbandry, Dairy and Devsthan Department, Zoraram Kumawat laid the foundation stone of several development works in Chanaud Gram Panchayat of Sumerpur Assembly Constituency on Sunday. During this, he said that the state government is committed to complete all the development works in a timely and quality manner. Minister Kumawat instructed the officials to work with full responsibility and seriousness, so that the common people can get maximum relief. He mentioned the gifts received by the area in the last two and a half years under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and said that Sumerpur assembly constituency is moving fast on the path of development. The Minister assured that there will be no let-up in the development of the area. For this, development work will also be done from the Central, State Government and MLA funds.
In the first program organized at the hospital building of Gram Panchayat Headquarters, Chanaud, Cabinet Minister and local MLA Zoraram Kumawat laid the foundation stone of installation of colored blocks in the hospital premises at a cost of Rs 10 lakh released from the MLA fund, construction of a theater in the big school at a cost of Rs 7 lakh approved from the MP fund, construction of a drain from Maharana Pratap Chowk to Raelia Marg with an approved amount of Rs 10 lakh from the Zilla Parishad fund. Similarly, Kumawat laid the foundation stone of opening of open gym in Girls School of Chanaud at a cost of Rs 2.5 lakh and construction of a high reservoir of 50 KL capacity at a cost of Rs 38 lakh in Meen ki Dhani. At the same time, in Chanaud itself, construction work was started at the cost of Rs 2.5 lakh in Dahi’s base, Rs 4.5 lakh in constable’s base, construction of drain in Brahmpuri at a cost of Rs 4 lakh and construction of tin shed on the platform of Ramdev temple at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh was started.
Laying of foundation stone for construction of high level bridge
During this, Minister Kumawat laid the foundation stone of the construction work of High Level Bridge on Chanaud Girwar road at a cost of Rs 1000 lakh under the budget announcement 2024-25 of Rajasthan Government. Also, under the Permanent Repair Scheme, under the financial year 2025-26, the sanctioned amount for the construction of Chanaud Shakambhari Mataji road pipe culvert at a cost of Rs 18 lakh and two km from NH-62 to Akada village at a cost of Rs 46 lakh. The foundation stone of long road strengthening and renovation work was also laid.
Chanaud Dam will be repaired at a cost of ₹5.25 crore.
During this, Cabinet Minister Kumawat laid the foundation stone of the repair work of Chanaud Dam located in Sumerpur area by performing rituals and offering prayers. He informed that the repair work of Chanaud Dam will be completed at a cost of approximately ₹ 5.25 crore. The main objective of this repair work is to give a “new life” to the dam so that local farmers can benefit from water security and the irrigation system can be strengthened. This work will be done by the Water Resources Department.
On this occasion, Minister Kumawat also planted saplings under the ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’ campaign. In the program, Kisan Sangharsh Committee President Jayendra Singh Galthani, Zilla Parishad member representative Mahiraj Singh Rathore, District Vice President Poonam Singh Parmar, former Deputy Head of Sumerpur Jagat Singh, Koselaov Administrator representative Hanuman Singh Bhati, Gram Panchayat Chanaud Administrator Jaravi Devi, Bankli Mandal’s media in-charge Inder Singh Jakhoda, Sanderao Mandal Vice President Shankar Singh Rajpurohit Kaku, General Secretary Mukesh Modi, Additional Chief Engineer of Water Resources Department. Many dignitaries including Manish Parihar, Superintending Engineer Ramnarayan Chaudhary, former Sanderao Divisional President Mahipal Singh Jodha were present.
