The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border area. Earthquake tremors were felt in four countries: India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. According to the information, the epicenter of the earthquake was at 71.01 degree east longitude and 36.52 degree north latitude, while its depth was recorded at 175 kilometers.
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, causing panic among the people for some time. However, there is no news of any damage or loss of life so far. The administration is keeping an eye on the situation.
