Pools of more than lakhs of rupees in marathon and all participants will get zinc -based medals
Udaipur. The world’s largest integrated zinc producer company, Hindustan Zinc, unveiled the second edition of Vedanta Hindustan Zinc City Half Marathon. The marathon will begin on 21 September from the Field Club in Udaipur. This time, more than 7 thousand runners are expected to participate from 27 states of the country, which is more than the previous year’s record. For the beginning of the event, information related to the marathon was given at a press conference held in Udaipur for the beginning of the event. The unveiling of the medal was done during the press conference program in the presence of Arun Mishra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc Limited, Dr. Manoj Soni of ABCR and other dignitaries of Hindustan Zinc.
Vedanta Hindustan Zinc City Half Marathon unveiled for the second edition of this medal heritage. Hindustan, made from pure zinc of zinc, shows the identity of the determination and strength of both the medal, runner and the metal. The theme of the marathon, the run for zero, is a symbol of commitment to social responsibility and is with the purpose of malnutrition -free India. The first version of the marathon is also a symbol of the identity of the Lakes Udaipur with a rich heritage of Zinc. Zinc mining has a history over 2,500 years old, which has accelerated the progress of the country during the bronze era. With 3 lakh cash and other awards, this marathon will provide the participants participating in this race with top runners around the cool Fatehsagar lake and to experience the Aravalli ranges.
Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon will have different categories of 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and race weeth champions, Finishers will experience the city’s beauty as well as get a chance to get a distinctive medal made from the best zinc produced by Hindustan Zinc. The marathon will include professional athletes, senior citizens, disabled and children, which make it a celebration of community spirit.
At a medal launch, Hindustan Zinc CEO and enthusiastic marathner Arun Mishra said that Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon is not just a sports event, but it is a celebration of fitness, inclusion and community spirit. We are happy to see that runners around the world are joining it. Through this platform, we not only promote health, but also promote the tourism and local economy of Udaipur. Rural is to cooperate in the purpose of eradicating malnutrition. Our goal is to encourage everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
To increase the experience of the participants, special arrangements will be made by ABCR, the hydration station will be located along the route, which will provide the necessary refreshments and the Venue Partner Field Club Udaipur. Additionally, the medical stations run by experienced physiotherapists and doctors will be available by the medical partner Geetzali Hastal. Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon will be the three different categories. Participant will pass through the heritage of Udaipur, Maharana Pratap Smarak, Sahelis Ki Bari and the iconic Neemuch Mata Temple will pass through the iconic sites like the hill.
There will be Bib Expo of Marathon on 19 and 20 September, as well as cultural programs and performance. This marathon is associated with the noble sense of Run for Zero Hunger started by Nandghar, which has been promoted by Anil Aggarwal Foundation. Under this, thousands of children are given nutrition packets, which is moving towards creating a healthy and malnutrition-free society every step.
