After the death of Ajit Pawar, the fight for power in the party, nephew Rohit made serious allegations, said- 'Three leaders wrote letter to EC'

NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar claimed that after Ajit Pawar’s death, three leaders including Praful Patel tried to take control of the NCP (Ajit Pawar) faction. Rohit Pawar said that 18 days after Ajit Pawar’s death—on February 16—Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare and Brijmohan Srivastava sent a letter to the Election Commission. The letter claimed that amendments had been made in the party’s constitution and requested that all powers now be handed over to the working president. Praful Patel was the national working president of NCP; At the time of Ajit Pawar’s death, he was a key party official. Ajit Pawar’s nephew Rohit made these claims during a press conference held on Wednesday. During the conference, he also presented relevant documents and demanded a criminal investigation into the matter.

Sunaitra Pawar was not aware

Rohit told that Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunatra Pawar initially had no knowledge about these developments. However, he later wrote a letter to the Election Commission regarding the issue.

Sunil Tatkare: Do not interfere in party matters

NCP (Ajit Pawar) state president Sunil Tatkare, without naming anyone explicitly, urged certain individuals to stop interfering in the internal affairs of the party. He remarked that conspiracies had been hatched against Ajit Pawar in the past, and now—even after his death—similar attempts were being made. In contrast, another NCP leader argued that the acting president was already given the authority to communicate on matters related to the courts and the Election Commission. The leader alleged that Rohit was only trying to create confusion.

Questions were raised regarding the plane crash and the company

Rohit Pawar also raised questions regarding VSR Ventures, the same company which is linked to the plane crash incident. He alleged that even after the accident, the company received a total payment of ₹80–90 crore. He further claimed that some persons are trying to save this company. Additionally, he has filed an FIR in Bengaluru regarding the circumstances surrounding Ajit Pawar’s death. Explaining the move, he said he was advised to lodge his complaint in a state where he had a reasonable expectation of getting justice; As a result, he lodged a ‘Zero FIR’ in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
