Ranchi, February 23 (IANS). A Red Bird Aviation plane going from Ranchi to Delhi crashed in Chatra district late Monday evening. According to initial reports, the plane was an air ambulance, which had flown from Ranchi to Delhi. During the flight, he suddenly lost contact with Air Traffic Control (ATC) at 7.34 pm.
It is being told that the plane crashed in the forest area near Karmatand village under Simaria police station area of Chatra district. According to initial reports, a total of seven people were on board the plane. However, casualties have not been officially confirmed yet. Immediately after contact was lost, the concerned agencies launched a massive search and rescue operation. Meanwhile, Congress MLA from Jamtara Irfan Ansari claimed that the state government is monitoring the situation with full seriousness.
In a post on social media platform A total of five people were on board, including the patient and the medical team. The weather deteriorated after some time, after which contact with ATC was lost. According to preliminary information, the last location of the aircraft is said to be over the forest area between Latehar and Palamu.
He said that security agencies and local administration were on alert as soon as information about the incident was received. Search and relief operations have been intensified in the affected area. No official confirmation has been made yet.
Irfan Ansari further said in the post, “I pray to God that everyone is safe and that the relief and rescue operations are successful as soon as possible. The state government is monitoring the situation with full seriousness.”
