Haridwar, June 28 (IANS). Madhya Pradesh Government Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya’s comment regarding Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was supported by Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri and Council’s Media Coordinator Karauli Shankar Maharaj. He said that any big organization needs introspection and improvement from time to time to maintain discipline and make the functioning effective.
Akhara Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri said while talking to IANS that when a family or organization expands, along with the good things, some bad things also come with it. After the year 2014, when the BJP government was formed, many volunteers of the Sangh also got associated with various government responsibilities and arrangements. In such a situation, it is natural that some challenges and shortcomings emerge with time. The old workers of the Sangh lived their lives on the basis of sacrifice, penance and moral values, but the present generation has grown up in a materialistic environment, due to which some evils are also being seen. The purpose of what Kailash Vijayvargiya has said is not to criticize anyone, but to draw attention towards the need for improvement in the interest of the organization.
He expressed hope that the Sangh leadership would take such complaints seriously and take necessary action. If a complaint is received against any state campaigner, district campaigner or other worker, an immediate decision should be taken on it. It is not advisable to keep any matter pending for a long time, because small problems become big with time. Giving the example of Uttarakhand, he said that after the arrival of the new provincial campaigner, positive improvements have been seen at many levels. There are some good and some bad tendencies in every sector of the society, hence review from time to time is necessary even within the organization.
Mahant Ravindra Puri said that there is a saying prevalent in the Sadhu community, ‘Zyada Jogi Math Ujaad.’ Meaning that when an organization expands greatly and people from different backgrounds join it, then competent leadership is required to maintain better coordination and discipline. Senior officials of the Sangh should take necessary steps in this direction so that both the image and working style of the organization remain strong. Today is the age of information and even a small incident reaches the whole world in no time. In such a situation, honesty, morality and purity of character are extremely important for people associated with public life. If any volunteer of the Sangh does wrong work, it affects the image of the entire organization. The Sangh has made significant contributions towards disaster relief, social service and in times of national crisis, hence it is necessary to pay special attention to discipline and conduct to maintain the positive image of the organization.
At the same time, Akhara Parishad’s media coordinator Karauli Shankar Maharaj also supported Kailash Vijayvargiya’s comments. He said that this statement has not been given in the spirit of any malice or opposition, but in the spirit of improvement as a member of the family. When there is any flaw in the family, the family members are the first to bring it forward and try to improve it. Kailash Vijayvargiya has also said this in the same family spirit.
He further said that every big organization requires reflection and brainstorming from time to time. Comparing it to a huge banyan tree, he said that if hollowness starts appearing somewhere inside the big tree, then corrective steps have to be taken in time to strengthen it. The ideology of the Sangh is an ideology related to Indian culture and Hindu society. In such a situation, if any disorder occurs somewhere within the organization, it should be discussed openly and necessary reforms should be made. The top leadership of the Sangh will work seriously in this direction and necessary reforms will be clearly visible in the coming times.
