Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has reacted strongly to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech in Parliament. Speaking to the media in the Parliament complex, Rahul Gandhi said that Amit Shah neither gave direct answers to his questions nor presented any evidence. He claimed that Shah seemed nervous and his behavior in Parliament clearly showed that he was under mental pressure. Rahul Gandhi alleged that Amit Shah’s behavior in Parliament was not normal. He used foul language, and his hands were trembling. The entire Parliament saw this. Rahul Gandhi said that he had openly challenged Amit Shah in the House to come and discuss the issues raised in the press conference, but according to him, Shah did not respond to this challenge.
Rahul Gandhi attacked RSS
Earlier on Tuesday (December 9, 2025), Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi claimed that various institutions and the Election Commission have been captured under a ‘project’ of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Participating in the discussion on electoral reforms in the Lok Sabha, he raised the question as to why the Chief Justice of India was not included in the selection committee that appoints the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners. He alleged that this government changed the law in December 2023 so that no election commissioner can be punished for his decisions.
Targeted BJP and RSS
Rahul Gandhi claimed that no Prime Minister in history has done this. Rahul Gandhi said that if voting becomes meaningless, then neither Lok Sabha, Assembly or Panchayat will have any existence. The Congress leader targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that after the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, the next part of their project was to capture the institutional structure of India.
