Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati will march till Lucknow for cow protection, appeals to the public

गौ संरक्षण के लिए लखनऊ तक पदयात्रा करेंगे अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद सरस्वती, जनता से की अपील

Varanasi, March 1 (IANS). Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand has once again targeted the UP government on Sunday. He said that no response has been received from Yogi Adityanath on issues related to the safety of cows. We are going to march till Lucknow on 11th March.

Speaking to reporters in Varanasi, Shankaracharya said, “We have not received any message from Yogi Adityanath regarding cow safety, nor has there been any indication that he is in a position to do anything for mother cows. In such a situation, we are going to reach Lucknow on March 11. There are still 10 days left. If you can do something, do it.”

He said that on March 6, his followers will celebrate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He described Shivaji Maharaj as the protector of cows and Brahmins.

Emphasizing the religious importance of protecting the cow, Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that in the Sanatan tradition, Brahmin and cow are not considered separate. Both are one. Brahmins and cows are associated with the same tradition. The Yagya is completed by the meeting of both. The Brahmin recites the mantra and the cow provides ghee, which makes the havan possible. Only when Brahmins and cows come together, the Yagya of Sanatan Dharma moves forward.”

Swami Avimukteshwarananda said, “We are not an organization that tells people from where how many people should come. We do not have arrangements for buses, vehicles, tractors, food or anything else. We are just making a genuine appeal. Anyone who wants to come for Gomata at his own expense should come.”

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati said that when there was a dispute with the police, none of his men came and stood with us. If people of Congress and Samajwadi Party stand up, then how should we criticize them? The biggest question is why this situation has arisen.

On the war between Iran and Israel, he said that wars keep happening. Sometimes it is done with weapons and sometimes it is done in the name of balance of power. Every country keeps making plans against each other. If there is a war going on somewhere, it does not mean that we should not talk about protection of religion or cow slaughter.

He said that all those who are trapped in the war. The government should help to get them out. This war is happening because the religious wars have stopped. Wars will end only when hypocrisy in the name of religion will stop.
