Agra, June 19 (IANS). Beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma Yojana displayed their traditional arts and crafts in the first BRICS MSME Forum and third SME Working Group meeting held in Agra. Beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma Yojana also set up stalls at the venue.
Beneficiary Sunny Swamy while talking to IANS said that I am involved in leather work. I deal in making all types of leather products, especially leather toys. I have been working in this field for last 10 years. We got ourselves registered under PM Vishwakarma Yojana. After that, during the training, we were taught to use the toolkit, because the entire product is made by hand. We were also given a toolkit, which benefited us a lot. After joining Vishwakarma Yojana, we got a good platform on the online system, through which we can take our work further. After starting this scheme, we have benefited a lot. We can take our work further under this scheme.
Beneficiary Abdul Khadar said that we make wooden toys in Channapatna. Channapatna is 60 kilometers from Bengaluru. We make wooden toys there. We got toolkit and loan under Vishwakarma scheme. Also got experience in making different types of toys.
Beneficiary and Dhokra artist Aleem Jadupatiya said that it has been one and a half years since I have been associated with PM Vishwakarma. I have benefited a lot in these one and a half years. Ever since I joined PM Vishwakarma and took training under this scheme, it has been beneficial in every way. I also got a toolkit through PM Vishwakarma. We also went to Dilli Haat to exhibit our products.
The beneficiary further said that we should be invited to such programs because it increases the market. I got a loan of one lakh rupees from PM Vishwakarma Yojana. I feel that this scheme has played an important role in the change that has taken place in life today.
Beneficiary and soft stone sculpture artist Pooja Jharia said that I came to know about the scheme through social media. After gathering complete information, I filled the form. Through this I got training. I got a loan of Rs 1 lakh in the first phase from PM Vishwakarma Yojana, which greatly benefited me in furthering my business.
He said that we are benefiting a lot by being invited to such a program. Hand-made products, which till yesterday were limited to local markets, are now being recognized in other cities as well.
She said that I have come to Agra for the first time, I am very happy.
