Bhagalpur, July 17 (IANS). Shivnarayanpur railway station in Bhagalpur district of Bihar was inaugurated on Friday under ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’.
This inauguration is being considered an important step towards modernizing the railway infrastructure in the area. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated this revamped station to the nation, along with 74 other redesigned railway stations across the country.
Modern facilities have been provided for the passengers at the newly constructed Shivnarayanpur Railway Station.
These facilities include newly designed station buildings, better waiting halls, better lighting, better sanitation and better infrastructure to make the travel experience more comfortable.
Railway officials, public representatives and local people participated in the inauguration ceremony.
Railway officials said that the objective of ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ is to transform railway stations into modern, safe and passenger-friendly transit hubs. It also aims to improve connectivity and help in regional development.
Officials said that the redevelopment of Shivnarayanpur railway station will not only improve travel facilities for passengers, but will also contribute to the socio-economic development of the surrounding areas.
There was a lot of enthusiasm among the local school students about this program; Many students expressed happiness over the changed look of the station.
Speaking to IANS, many students said that they were very happy to see a modern railway station in their locality and thanked the Prime Minister for this development initiative.
A student said that this is a big step towards connecting them with different cities of the country.
A student said, “We are very happy to have such a modern railway station. It is a great gift for our area.”
Another student said that a station with better facilities would make travel easier for local people.
The student further said, “Now people of our area will be able to travel comfortably to places across the country from the modern station.”
The new development work of Shivnarayanpur Railway Station is a part of the larger initiative of the Central Government to improve the railway infrastructure and enhance passenger convenience through ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’.
