Patna, June 24 (IANS). RJD President Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya questioned the Bihar government’s order for a judicial inquiry into the Bharat Tiwari alleged fake encounter case, calling it an ‘exercise to cool down public anger’. He said that in this case, Bharat Tiwari’s post mortem report has not been made public till now and raises many serious questions.
Rohini Acharya wrote in a post on social media platform He alleged that the process of judicial investigation may take a long time, due to which it may take a long time to fix the accountability of the culprits of this ‘heinous murder’. In my opinion, this order of judicial inquiry is part of an effort by the government to cool down public anger.
Rohini, who had contested the last Lok Sabha election from Saran on RJD ticket, said that many people are struggling on the ground to get justice for the family members of Bharat Tiwari, who lost his life while fighting for the rights of Dalits, underprivileged, exploited, backward and marginalized population, but the government is still not answering the most basic questions.
Questioning the government, he said where is the post mortem report of Bharat Tiwari and why has it not been made public till now. They allege that the government and the police are trying to save someone under the guise of delay in making the post-mortem report public.
Rohini Acharya said that many petitions related to this case have been filed in various courts, and the post-mortem report is a very important document for the legal strength of those petitions. In such a situation, not making the report public deepens the suspicion. He also said that the family members of Bharat Tiwari are demanding to make the details of the deceased’s mobile phone public. The family members claim that the mobile phone of the deceased is currently in the possession of the police and it may contain important evidence, information and WhatsApp chats related to those who ordered this alleged fake encounter.
Rohini alleged that the police is maintaining silence on this issue. He raised the question whether it was possible that the mobile phone, the data contained in it and WhatsApp chats had been destroyed to cover up its ‘black act’.
Rohini Acharya said that along with the judicial investigation, the government should clarify the status of all important documents, post-mortem report and mobile data related to the case, so that Bharat Tiwari’s family can get justice and the unbiased truth of the entire case can be revealed.
